Minke Whales

During the first three months of this year, there were a number of reports of dead minke whales floating in the seas off the south coast of England.

In addition, hundreds of these whales are killed in European waters each year by Norwegian whalers.

It must be remembered that only a very small percentage of the cetaceans, which have been killed in fishing nets, are ever found. The vast majority sink.

“What is man without the beasts? If all the beasts were gone, man would die from a great     loneliness of the spirit. For whatever happens to the beasts, soon happens to man. All things are connected”
